Sandıklı Castle, on a mound in the Hisar neighbourhood of central Sandıklı settled since the Early Bronze Age, was built by Yakup I, ruler of the Germiyan beylik. Of the walls that once surrounded the mound, only an 8-10 metre stretch survives today.
