Manyas is known for Kuşcenneti (Bird Paradise) National Park, which lies between the districts of Bandırma and Manyas. The park, on the shore of Lake Manyas (Kuş Gölü), was placed under the Ramsar Convention in 1998 and received the Council of Europe's Class A diploma as a bird protection area.
