The Şeyh Mutahhar Mosque was built in 1500 by the Aq Qoyunlu ruler Kasım Bey. Built of alternating courses of black and white stone, it is popularly known as the 'Four-Legged Minaret' for its unusual minaret, which rests on four columns.
