Hatay
Hatay is a province where different faiths and cultures have lived side by side for thousands of years, and it is part of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network for gastronomy. The cave church of St Peter, the Titus Tunnel at Samandağ, the waterfalls of Harbiye and a rich cuisine from künefe to tepsi kebab are its highlights. The area was affected by the 2023 earthquakes centred on Kahramanmaraş and some sites may be under repair; check whether they are open before you go.
