Hızırbey Mosque is a rectangular, domeless mosque thought to have been built in 1237 under the Anatolian Seljuk state or the Hamidid principality. It belongs to the group of wooden-columned, wooden-ceilinged mosques, and the kündekari (interlocking wood) work on its ceiling is considered one of the finest examples of the craft. It is usually visited together with the nearby Stone Madrasa (Dündar Bey Medresesi).
