İzmir Clock Tower
The Ottoman clock tower on Konak Square, İzmir's symbol.

Built in 1901 for the 25th anniversary of Sultan Abdülhamid II's accession, the tower stands with its fountains and ornament in the middle of Konak Square. Together with the small Konak Yalı Mosque beside it, it is the city's most photographed corner.
