A UNESCO-listed Ottoman town of timber houses and a historic bazaar.

Safranbolu, with hundreds of preserved Ottoman houses, the Cinci Han, the Köprülü Mehmet Paşa Mosque and its arcade bazaar, was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1994. Some houses can be visited as museums and guesthouses, and the rooftops of the town are seen from Hıdırlık Hill.
