Karaman
Karaman was the centre of the Karamanid principality and is remembered for Karamanoğlu Mehmet Bey's decree declaring Turkish the official language. Binbir Kilise on the slopes of Karadağ, the rock-cut granaries of Taşkale and Karaman Castle are its highlights.
