Nasrullah Mosque was built in 1506 by Qadi Nasrullah during the reign of Bayezid II. The building, resting on six piers under nine domes, was expanded to its present form after repairs in 1746. Its courtyard has a fountain and a bridge, and it is known as the place where Mehmet Akif Ersoy first recited the Turkish National Anthem.
