The battlefield where the Great Offensive of 1922, which began at Kocatepe in Afyonkarahisar, was concluded on 30 August at Dumlupınar was placed under protection in 1981 as the Başkomutan Historical National Park. The Dumlupınar section of the park has the Zafertepe Monument, the Dumlupınar war cemetery and the Dumlupınar Museum.
