Beşkonaklar is made up of five adjoining, two-storey mansions with the civil architectural features of traditional Malatya houses, built in the early 1900s. The mud-brick-faced mansions have wooden wall ties, joinery, ceilings and staircases, and the bay windows overlooking the street stand out. Today the complex is arranged as an ethnography museum and a traditional Malatya house.
