Sarıgöl is a Manisa district east of the Gediz plain, close to the borders of Denizli, Uşak and Aydın provinces. It is one of the major production centres for seedless Sultaniye grapes, yielding about 210,000 tonnes of fresh grapes a year, part of which is processed into raisins. A Grape Harvest Festival is held every 4 September, alongside the Sultaniye Grape Festival established in 2004.
