Malazgirt Museum opened in 2021 on the site where the Battle of Manzikert was won in 1071. This themed museum brings the battle to life with a miniature scene, and displays images of Ottoman sultans and war heroes alongside Republican-era pieces such as a model of the Bandırma ferry and a statue of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. Everyday tools and objects from local life are also on show.
