Located between the villages of Bozköy and Kömürcü in Çiftlik district, Göllüdağ has been an obsidian source worked since the Neolithic period, with its obsidian traded as far as Cyprus and Syria. On its summit stands a Late Hittite city from the 8th century BC, enclosed by stone walls; lion and sphinx statues found in excavations are displayed in Niğde's museums.
