Botan Valley National Park

The Botan Valley is made up of deep canyons carved by the Botan river and its side streams. Lying within the Siirt Merkez, Tillo and Eruh districts, it was declared a national park in 2019. Along with early Christian rock carvings and village churches, the valley has natural features such as Taşbaşı Cave and the Delikli Taş (the holed rock). Paragliders launch from the Botan flight point close to the city centre, rafting is possible on the river, and the glass viewing terrace at Tillo Castle gives a wide view over the valley.
