Uçmakdere is a small coastal village on the slopes where the foothills of Mount Ganos meet the Sea of Marmara. Its name comes from uçmak, an old Turkish word for paradise. It is loved for paragliding flights launched from the wooded slopes, its sea and mountain views, campsites and quiet shore, and the winding road from Tekirdağ is known for its scenery.
