Habib-i Neccar Mosque, believed to have been built in the 7th century, is regarded as Anatolia's first mosque and is visited by both Muslims and Christians. Largely destroyed in the earthquakes of 6 February 2023, it was rebuilt true to its original form using stones individually recovered from the rubble, and reopened for worship on 27 December 2025.
