Ergene, in Tekirdağ province, is built on flat land bordered by Lüleburgaz and Saray to the north, Kapaklı and Çerkezköy to the east, Süleymanpaşa and Muratlı to the west, and Çorlu to the south. It was created in 2012 by merging neighbourhoods and villages separated from Çorlu, and its territory holds the Europe Free Zone along with several organized industrial zones.
