Ankara

Ankara has been Türkiye's capital since 1923. Anıtkabir, the hilltop Ankara Castle, the world-famous Museum of Anatolian Civilizations and the restored streets of Hamamönü are its highlights. The province also holds Gordion, the Phrygian capital, and Beypazarı with its Ottoman houses.

Airports: Ankara Esenboğa Havalimanı (ESB)
Bus terminal: AŞTİ, the Ankara intercity bus terminal, connects to all of Türkiye, and high-speed trains run to İstanbul, Konya and Eskişehir.
